Water Pumps for Forklifts - Attached to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a basic centrifugal pump which is driven by a belt. The pump then circulates fluid if the engine is running.
Making use of centrifugal force, the water pump sends water to the outside while it rotates causing the fluid to be constantly drawn from the pumps center. The pump inlet is located close to the center. This particular design allows fluid returning from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically placed to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it goes in the engine.
The fluid which is going out of the pump primarily flows through the cylinder head and engine block. Then the fluid goes into the radiator and lastly circulates back to the pump.
